The FFA Amplify, Ignite, and Transform Conference was held Saturday in Ankeny. Two members participated in leadership activities with members from all over the state. They learned about their purpose in FFA and how it helps you to fulfill it.

Mrs. Alesch's 5th grade class was full of pride yesterday for Veterans Day!
The high school student council knocked it out of the park with their Veterans Day ceremony. A fantastic group of local heroes visited the high school yesterday afternoon and shared about their military experience with the high school and elementary students in Mapleton.
This morning, the students in the Anthon center had the opportunity to hear from a few veterans from the American Legion Auxiliary - McNiff Unit 389 Anthon and ask them questions about their experiences serving their country. Thank you for your service, gentlemen.
The fall sports photos by Rhonda Rauch Photography were a huge success! The junior after-prom committee would like to offer photo options for purchase again. Winter sports (wrestling, basketball, and cheerleading) photos will be taken on Thursday, November 18th. Attached photos include samples of the memory mate, individual pose, and composited team photos. If you are interested in purchasing anything, please have your child bring payment and completed order form at that time. Thank you!
Spanish 2 students made “alebrijes” with paper mâché. Spanish 1,3and 4 voted for their favorite. The sloth, made by Myia Dean-Byas and Caralyn Henschen got first place!
