The MVAO FFA Chapter has always felt supported by their community. The Chapter was looking for a way to thank the community for all they have done. The FFA group did this by hosting an event called Feed the Farmer. Feed the Farmer was hosted on October 11, 2021. The FFA group delivered 125 meals to farmers in the field. The meal was completely free for farmers in our district. A google form was posted on the school’s social media and signs were posted around the towns in our district. The FFA group served pulled pork, chips, an apple, and a dessert. The FFA officer team started to plan this event during the Summer Officer Retreat. They have been working hard since then to complete countless FFA activities, including this one, Feed the Farmer. Leah Parker, the MVAO FFA Chapter’s Vice President, said, “It felt good to give back to the community that has always supported us. This seemed like a great way to thank our community for all they have done.” The FFA Chapter plans to make this an annual event and hopes to serve more meals next year. The FFA officers would like to thank Monona County Farm Bureau for their generous donation of $250.
